Sky Valley Resort and Country Club
(Sky Valley, GA – 15 minutes from Highlands) (800) 437-2416 (Public Golf Course)
Orchestrated by renowned golf architect Bill Bergin, the centerpiece of the resort and country club is the spectacular 18-hole daily-fee Sky Valley golf course. Nestled in a valley surrounded by peaks soaring to over 4000 feet, the course is challenging for all skill levels, yet extremely playable and fun. Bergin’s 2007 redesign of the original Sky Valley course lengthened the course by nearly 500 yards and reduced par to 71. Incredibly, the new course route can be stretched to over 7000 yards from the back tees. A fifth set of tees provides even more options for play and the pristine 12-acre lake and restored mountain streams provide new water features for added strategy and aesthetics. www.skyvalley.com

In addition to the course, there are two putting greens and an excellent practice range. The tee area of the practice range is covered for protection from occasional rains. www.highhamptoninn.com
